The 2011 Northern Illinois Huskies football team will represent Northern Illinois University in the college football season of 2011. They will compete in National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) college football during the football season. Northern Illinois is competing as a member of the Mid-American Conference (MAC) West Division. Former head coach Jerry Kill resigned following the MAC Championship Game in 2010, accepting the Head Coaching position at Minnesota. The current head coach is Dave Doeren, former defensive coordinator for the Wisconsin Badgers.
